I see where Howard has added an inverter to his 5ver, would be nice to see a step by step procedure with pictures on how he hooked everything up. I know it would be helpful to me.

While waiting for Howard to reply.....<g>
Have you looked at the RV Dream's BLOG? If you go back he has pretty well documented everything that's been done, including photos. I'm not mechanical at all so I admit to ignoring it but think it might help you.

Details are coming soon! I even have a color schematic. It's not exactly a schematic of OUR system, but all the connections, etc. are the same.

Howard, that's great! I'm sure that others would also be interested on how the system is set up. Thanks for sharing your experiance.

Howard, Yes, thanks for all the info. And also thanks for the tip about the wire gauge.... I had forgotten about that. I'm like you, so if at all possible we would like to order new for warranty purposes, AND have all this stuff installed by the manufacturer (which somewhat limits our choices to some of the more expensive ones out there). I don't know if it's possible when ordering, but we would want to specify what wire gauge we want on all the electrical system add-ons (inverter, solar, etc.) or no deal if they won't do it and prove that they have done it.
Godspeed as you hit the road again today and on the rest of your travels back to Louisville...

There is a lot of info on my website. Especially for those who are DIYers.
All the components are explained, along with the major tradeoffs. There is also a plan to phase things in - much like Howard is doing.

Haven't seen Howard's setup yet, but this is the coolest setup I've seen to date! I hope to duplicate it if we go with a fiver. Under the inverter, etc, is a bank of batteries. Sweet!
We're in Blythe right now and just arranged for an inverter installation on Thursday from a dealer in Q. Can't wait to try it! Fred

Thanks Howard, I am getting an inverter in March and will be installing it myself. Hopefully, between the information that you provide and what Jack has already provided on his website, I will be able to do it right the first time.

Fixed the link - I hate the way activeboard likes to add "http://" in front of URLs.
