If you haven't heard of Evert-Fresh Green Bags, they are a reusable storage bag for fruits and vegetables that will extend the life of your produce by 3 to 10 times longer. And they really work! When planning as a current "wannabe" for our FTRVing, I originally thought that the Green Bags would not be that essential since we would be buying fresh produce and not storing a lot. But after some thought, I decided that they still would be useful since it will save money on extending the storage life of your produce and may cut down on shopping trips while on the road. They come in 3 sizes and are re-usable. The bags absorb the gases that the vegetables release that would otherwise accelerate the aging of the produce.
The only product that I do not store is bananas, while they do indeed extend the life of your "ordinary banana", I personally think the banana taste changes.
While the bags may seem a little pricey ($4.25, $5.25 and $8.25) for the 3 sizes and you will get 10 bags each. It really saves on the produce that you would otherwise be throwing out. At least it works that way for us. Just a thought on saving you some money.

I use them also and they are wonderful. I love shopping at Costco but hate that the fresh fruit and veggies don't last. Using these bags really helps.

I have been using refrigerator bags for years-------I have not used the "green bags" but I make my own. They last for a long time and you can just throw them in the washer when needed. I had thought about making to sell when I go on the road.....

For those of you who have not found the Green Bags for fruits & vegatables. I found them at Bed, Bath & Beyond. 20 bags, ( 10 med. & 10 large ) for $9.99. I've used them for bananas, green peppers & tomatoes so far. I am very pleased with the bags. Hope this info. is useful. See you at the Rally.
