OMG! My house was shown for the second time today (not my realtor). Two hours later my realtor calls me and asks if I can be out in three weeks.... there is a full price offer on the table if I pay up to $2k in closing costs. Since the full price offer is $15 more than what full price was a year ago, not an issue.
Anyway, hoping I'm not jinxing myself....I'm off to meet my realtor and go over the offer completely. Will report back later!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

We will be thinking "happy thoughts" for you and keeping fingers and toes crossed. We still have that wonderful process to go through. We are planning on listing our house after Christmas. We are in the cleaning out stage at this point. I hate selling a house. It is no fun. Good luck and keep us posted as you hear the news. We are pulling for you.

Well, after spending a weekend in rural TN, the buyer has decided to not only NOT buy my house, but NOT relocate from Miami. Hmmmmm, think it was the Bluegrass Festival they went to?
Oh well, at this point I plan to continue onward, working part-time (3 days a week) and sorting through stuff. Gives me time to eBay things and declutter a bit. If the house hasn't sold by mid-August then I will buy a small used motorhome, tow the bike and hit the road. Will upgrade when the house sells.

Sorry to hear that, Donna
We had a chat with our realator, and dropped our asking price by 40K and she scheduled another open house for 7/22

I'm so sorry to hear that Donna. I can certainly empathize with you. We had a showing today and found out from our realtor that we're in the top 4 out of the 12 houses they were looking at. It was so funny cuz the kids were begging their parents to buy our house. This is the closest we've come to even having an inkling of hope. So.......... PLEASE keep fingers crossed for me!

Oh Deb, got my fingers - toes - arms - legs - eyes ALL crossed for you!!!! Keep us updated.....at least the mortgage rates dropped a bit. Maybe that will encourage a few more folks out of the woodwork....
The buyers agent still hasn't talked to these folks...she talked to the company moving him here. They said they don't even know if he's going to continue working for them because he's not moving to TN. I think it's a true case of culture shock....they are Hispanic and this area is hillbilly WASP.

Yeah, I'd say rural TN would be a WHOLE lot different than Miami. Some people from Minnestoa bought a house a few doors down from us, lived there for about 2 months and then moved back to MN and rented out their house. They're trying to sell it for more than they bought it for but prices have dropped dramatically here. To give you an example they bought it for 345, are trying to sell it for 390 and ours is for sale for 316. We started 14 months ago at 365.

I think that's one of the great things about RVing....we can truly live in places and see what it's really like.

Froggie, Hope all goes well. It is slow out there, but everything will turn out fine, and we're thinking of you, and keeping our fingers crossed also. We just put ours for sale this week. We've got until May 1, 2008 before we go on the road fulltime, but it would be nice to have it all sold, and done for peace of mind long before that. Let's keep the faith ! Good luck. Arlene
