I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on whether I can tow my '97 Suzuki Sidekick 4WD with auto transmission? I see Suzukis mentioned as toads in another thread, within the limitation of 55 mph. Does mine fit in that category, given it's an automatic?
It is a great little vehicle and I would hate to part with it if I don't have to. If it's not towable as is, does anyone know about transmission pumps or drive train disconnects (if I'm identifying those things properly -- not sure) and how expensive and/or reliable they are?
Thanks much, Vee

Hi Vee,
MotorHome magazine publishes an annual list of cars that can be towed with all 4 wheels down. If you can get to a public library, you should be able to find the answer to your question.
I don't think your car is on that list, but I am not an expert so do your research.
Wish I knew for sure.
Good luck.
