I am not sure where this post goes but here is what happened to one of the campworkers at the Koa. They live by the lake here full time in an rv....this past wk we had a bad storm with lots of lightening and it just happened to strike they're rig. Did they have a surge protector "Yes" however with a direct hit they lost everything electrical in the rig. They own the land the rig was on and have a water well the pump was also fried form it. I guess insurance will cover most as soon as they fax estimates. They did disconnect theyre computer and moved it to the front of the fiver of which I was told it can jump if its close by.... In a situtation such as this I would think it would be the same as lightening hitting your own home. I am wondering if anyone has had this happen to them? southwestjudy & Bob & 2blackdogs
