We are long time members of AAA and have been more than satisfied.   Now that we are Good Sam members we keep getting literature on their emergency road service.   Appears to be a good plan.  Does anyone have experience with it and/or able to compare to AAA?   Thanks

We have had Good Sam ERS since we started with motorhomes, 4.5 years ago. 

We pay $99.95 for 13 months when purchased at an RV show.

December was a bad month for our rig.  Started with a blown tire in Austin, Texas.  ERS replaced it on the spot for the cost of the tire, the road service was free.  Then driving the interstate above Austin, the coach quit.  ERS towed us into a campground because it was Sunday afternoon, then to a repair service on Monday morning.  Problem was fixed for under a $100, no charge for the tows. 

Finally, separate but similar problem required a service call at a campground, then a tow 40 miles into Houston.  Turned out to be loose connection, accidently repaired at the CAT dealer and later by me with di-electric grease.  Total cost for service call, tow and repair; $0.00.  Touble free ever since.

We dropped AAA years ago because they couldn't deal with the pull trailer, a 34 foot Avion.

Carefully check their (AAA) limitations.  We won't be without Good Sam ERS.

Good Sam ERS and Coach-net know RVs, while AAA is basically for cars. We have Coach-net and are very happy. Coach-net is endorsed through both Escapees and FMCA and have helped us well when we used them twice in the past. People with Good Sam ERS seem about as happy with their services and the prices are about the same between these two RV specific road services.

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Good Sam or Coach-Net in Canada. We have had to use our AAA service for one 200 mile tow in NW BC and AAA charged us nothing even though they had to send out two trucks, one to tow the Motorhome and another to tow a trailer we were hauling.

We did have Good Sam ERS, but learned that our RV insurance policy with Interstate included an ERS rider. We've only had to use it once -- tire on the 5th wheel blew out on I-10 west of Houston. They replaced the tire with the spare and we were back on the road. $0.00 out of pocket. Of course we had to buy a new tire when we got to the tire shop... Learned the ERS portion also covers our tow vehicle. If you have RV insurance with Interstate I recommend checking your policy. We unknowingly paid 2 companies for the same coverage the first year...

What ever you do reguardless of why you are with call them before you do anything else. If you try to collect after the fact you are lost in the wind and will never get your money back. We had a bad front tire on our motorhome replaced while setting in in the Circus Circus RV park in Las Vegas and when it came to doing the paperwork for the bill the guy asked us if we had any insurance coverage like Good Sam or other and we said yes we did and called right then and there but they told us that once the work was done it was to late to call them then. So we were out of pocket nearly $800 just because we didn't call them first they would have covered the entire ammount without question. Coach net is the same call them first. We had forgotten and we are life members. That was an $800 lessen we will not forget.

We signed up for the Coach-Net RV Technical & Roadside Platinum Plus plan - effective when we pickup our RV at the Elkhart Indiana factory in mid March.

Big John 57 here I'll throw in my two cents worth. I have had both about 10 years ago I dropped AAA there price $125
ERS was $79 we now pay $112 I believe. I have nothing but positive things to say about ERS when our son still lived at
home they tow is car twice cost $0.00 , serveral flats on trailers and tow rig $0.00, once while traveling to the RV Rally
at Daytona Fl. my 5th wheel blew the second tire of the trip with no spare to put on I called ERS I was informed I would
have to pay for the new tire by everything else would be covered. The service center that responded to my tire problem
billed me $75.00 labor and $235.00 for the tire stating that mounting the tire was not included, I paid seeing I was stuck
on the side of interstate 95 after dark. The next day at the Rally I spoke with ERS personal that were at the Rally they had
me fill out a refund claim form, stated they would take up the matter with the service center they had sent out to help me.
And before I could get home the following week my refund form that claim was in my mail. I'll keep my ERS plan through
Good Sams would not leave home without it.
