I'm still trying to find a way to soften the non towing ride of our F350 diesel dually.
I'm looking at the Mor-Ryde RL system for the drive axle and am wondering if anyone in the group has it, or knows anyone who has experience with it.

Any comments, or alternatives would be more than welcome.
Thanks,
Fred

Fred,
A few months ago I took a short test drive in a new 2006 Chevy 3500 Duramax, DRW and was very surprised with the smooth and quiet ride. Admittedly, it was a short drive on city streets, but I did not feel that the ride was harsh at all. I was fully expecting it to feel like a truck, but it rode like a nice luxury automobile!
I didn't check closely as we are not ready to buy yet, so I don't know if it had some type of aftermarket add-on to soften the ride. Since it was a new one at the local Chevy dealer I assume it had the standard factory suspension.
Before we make a decision I'll go back and take a longer test drive and include getting on the interstate to see how it feels.
Hopefully someone will give you some feedback on the Mor-Ryde RL system.

Hey Fred,
Several years ago we owned an Avion fiver. The suspension was pretty bad and it was all over the road, especially yaw. Typically would blow 4 or 5 tires in a summer's travels
Previous Avion pull trailers came equipped with a Mor-Ryde suspension and there was very little vibration and the rig handled quite well. We replaced the fiver's suspension with a Mor-Ryde and we were very pleased with the results. No more blow outs either. We could place a glass of water on the floor near the mid entry and 300 miles later it was still there. I know that some fivers come with a MorRyde pin box to smooth some of that ride.
That being said, while I am sure that the MorRyde will help your truck, it is still a heavy duty truck and it may not be enough.

Fred, We had the Mor/Ryde RL suspension installed on a GMC 3500 1 ton dually at Mor/Ryde in Elkhart Ind. We only used it for a very short time, it did seem to help when we weren't towing. But when we were towing I don't think it help very much. But keep in mind we didn't give it a fair test. We had a problem with the harsh ride when going over the concrete dividers, and we were trying to lessen the hard bumps. We traded the 3500 and now have a Link Air ride suspension and Air ride seats. I believe the Air rides seats is what makes our Chevy Kodiak ride so much better than the 3500. GBY....
