The question of what cell phone service and how do I boost my signal, etc repeatedly comes up, both on forums and in private contacts to us. So I wrote a quick section on our website about this topic. Communications on the Road. Link to site in our signature.

Thanks for the info on the wilson system for improved cell phone reception. We went from a weak one bar to two bars in the state park in which we are located. After attaching a 6" X 6" flat piece of metal to our rubber roof with silicone, we were able to use a magnetic mount wilson antenna and now have cell service.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I followed Jack's, on his web site, and Prime Cellular's advice for improving cell phone coverage, and it worked. I purchased the Wilson Mirror Mount Antenna with a mount that attaches to our ladder on the back of the RV and the Wilson Dual Band Signal Boost Direct Connect Amplifier. The amplifier works with all kinds of cell phones even those that don't have a place to connect an antenna. It attaches to the back of the phone or air card with velcro. I have not had the chance to connect it to my air card yet but I did connect it to my iPhone and it increased the service from "No Service" to 4 bars. Wonderful!
