We are new to this forum and think it's great. We are enjoying the posts and the website.
We live in the "Northern Neck" of Virginia, which is the northern most peninsula of land surrounded by the Potomac River to the north, the Chesapeake Bay to the east and the Rappahannock River to the south. Hence the "Northern Neck". (Most all peninsulas here are called "necks") This is a beautiful, coastal area with lots of quaint waterfront homes and little towns. It's a pretty well kept secret, except many retirees from NOVA (Northern Va) and Maryland discovered it and have made it a popular retirement destination. So don't tell anyone about it, OK? :) Oh, and we have the best crab, fresh fish and oysters around, for those who like fresh seafood.
We've been RVing for 6 or so years in a Dynasty Legacy MH ('01) and tow a Saturn LW Station Wagon. We're not fulltimers but love reading about all of those who do!
We plan to sell our home in a few years and build a smaller one but are seriously considering taking about 2 years in between doing that and traveling around the US in the MH.
Thanks to all who post here and share their information with us. Hope to meet you on the road someday! If you get to Virginia, look us up! We have full hookups for you, will steam you some fresh hard crabs, and show you around our "neck of the woods"!

Hi Molly...it's me Janenne from The Villages...Hopefully we'll be MH owners soon and will take you up on the full hook up and the crab dinner...YUM, YUM!!! May be a little more difficult to sell our home in The Villages now after the tornado last night. Fortunately the Good Lord was with us and we were left unscathed. When you guys get down here in late February, we'll take you on a tour.

Janenne,
Sounds great--hurry up and find the MH!! :)
Glad to hear you fared well outside of the tornando. It really looks awful from what we have seen on the news. We'll keep the affected folks in our prayers.
Look forward to seeing you!

Molly,
I grew up in Arlington VA and loved the area.....been gone for over 30 years now and my husband and I full time in our 5th wheel. Love the lifestyle. We may take you up on your offer for the full hookups sometime. We travel up that way about every 2-3 years. If you are ever in the Clearwater FL area, just let us know......would love to give you a tour!!

Mary, Come on up! We're about 2 hours south of Arlington so you can easily visit from here. The traffic up 95 north is just awful now. I'm sure it was bad 30 years ago too! Do you still have family in the area? Clearwater sounds much better than Va right now, it's going to be about 12 degrees here tonite!
Wish we were in FL too!
Thanks for responding! We are enjoying this forum. Molly

Hello fellow Virginians. We live in the Richmond area and also are new to the RVing world. We bought a new Fleetwood Providence 39V in December, but have only been able to spend 9 nights in it so far. We have a contract on our house and a closing date of April 2, so we will be full timing after that. We can't wait. It's been fun and knowledgable keeping up with this forum and the journals of many full timers. We are 55 and 49 and retiring early to give this a try. Hope to meet some of you on the road. Hi Bob and Molly, I couldn't resist responding to your delicious sounding invitation. Can I make my reservations about 4 years in advance? That is about the time I hope to be fulltime.
Just joking, It sounds like a great place to live, I hope to visit someday.

Hi Roy & Don! Nice to hear from someone close to home! Good luck on the sale of your home Roy. If you find yourself east of Richmond, give us a call and let's get together. Don & Roy, we'll look forward to seeing you guys and gals !!
We need to get some of us Southeasterners together for a campout on this side of the USA! Do you camp anywhere close by or have any favorite haunts near here? We love to camp most anywhere, but Sandbridge Beach is one of our favorites. We also plan to visit Bethpage this year at some time. That's just across the river from us.
