Thanks, Tim. I had not heard. In Howard's last post, his mom was fading but still alive. Such a difficult time that we all come to eventually. May they find peace and rest after this long ordeal. Pat K.

No doubt it was a long ordeal - from just before Thanksgiving through Christmas. I can't imagine a worse time to have to go through something like this... but there are no good times. Now there are all the 'firsts' with somebody missing - birthdays, holidays. and special family occasions. I know because my parents are gone now and my younger sister passed from cancer last year. There will be no more grand family dinners around the dining table during the holidays, with all the chaos and laughter. But this comes to us all eventually. I am just glad that Anita had a chance to say her goodbyes... and then she seemed ready to let go and go home to God.
