Beth, given your occupation you should have little problem finding good-paying work on the road. We have talked with MANY travelling nurses working temporary contracts over our years fulltiming. Most make pretty good money, as long as you are willing to move where NEEDED. This is totally unlike someone that is thinking of depending on workamping for a living. You have a career that pays well, you are just going to be living "on the road". Which is actually a benefit and should bring you higher paying jobs and reduce expenses over a house. IMO. You will have the normal challenges of a fulltimer, but you should have a good income.

Hi Mark and Jenna
This reply is late to the party, but I see you are still checking in. Just want to say that your plan is a good starting place. Better than many in your age bracket. Investing 150K while you work on the road keeping expenses low, can boost your financial position for later years. Trick is not dipping into it when life happens. But because you are young and these are your prime earning years, another consideration is how this will affect your SS in the future. (uses your highest 35 year average) If you can full time and keep saving you'll be doing pretty well. It is worth talking to a financial person. Good Luck
