We had started the process of shedding our overstuffed house in January. We also had made all the needed improvements to the house before we attended the RV Dreams Rally in SC. ( Why do we always wait to sell a house before we spend the money to make it more livable?) We came home so excited about our fu...

Hey gang, we have someone coming back this morning to take a second look at our house. They should be there in about 1 1/2 hours. So, please keep your fingers, toes and eyes crossed for us. And it sure wouldn't hurt anything if a few prayers went up. Thanks! Judy (and Bob)

I have posted before about the trials and tribulations we have faced in trying to sell our house so we can begin our fulltiming dream. Well, I think this may be it. We have an accepted offer and their financing has been secured. The inspection was on Saturday so we are waiting to hear what he has to say. ...

Sorry for what will probably be a dumb question, but the majority of my towing experience has been at a time before cruise control was available on trucks. Being a camp host requires many talents, but there is no Red Cross on the side of my rig. If I had a dime for every camper who knocked on the door over the years asking fo band aides or other medical supplies, I would be wealthy. Please folks, buy a nice first aide kit and take it with you when you go camping.

In the last few days we have sold most of our furniture. The only big pieces left are our bedroom set and that is on craigslist. I am doing well with sorting through things. Everything for the 5er is going in a walk-in closet in the back of the house. Everything for the moving sale in May is up towards th...

Ok we are on the big push to get ready and put the house on the market... We have moved the camper up to a FT spot at a local camp...

Well folks.....we took our RV out for it's first trip. We will be going full time in about 4 weeks and figured we better take it once on a little excursion before we move in completely. Having just discovered RV-Dreams in February - a GREAT find - and having attended the fabulous April rally where I could not answer any of the ice breaker questions from the web site or journals, I've decided I better get with it. A couple of days ago I had an interesting dream. I was going on my first trip in my RV and headed west on I-70 and it was in the late afternoon and it was snowing but not snowing that hard. How do fulltimers get counted on the Census? Our South Dakota mail forwarding address is a place of business, so we did not receive the Census in the mail. We picked one up in town, but not sure how to answer the questions. We were on the highway on April 1. So are we homeless?
