I hate going to stores. Hate spending a lot of time and gas, going from place to place, only to discover that they're out of whatever it is that I wanted to buy, ("We just sold the last one!") don't have the size / color I was looking for, or never stocked the item to begin with. This is why I do the v...

Apologies to my Facebook friends as I already posted this there. Question for those of you who went to Tampa RV show
(Preview)
DH and I so wanted to go to the Tampa RV show this past January, but work got in the way. I am planning ahead for next year to be sure and go. My question is, I see that they allow dogs. How does this work? Can our pup go with us on a leash into the 5th wheels and MH? Thanks!

We did it! Fulltime at last!
(Preview)
We've been fulltime for a week already and just now we are decompressing from a crazy start to this life. We had a plan that went out the window with all the freezing weather in the north east and meeting someone that has made us so happy. We had the family spend Christmas in the house for last time but when...

Changes in Plans

When I introduced myself 3 months ago I thought I had it all planned: Sell the house, sell the Jeep, buy a van, buy a trailer, spend winters in Florida and come back to PA in the summers. After lots more research and really considering how I will live, I realize I want a MH instead and will keep/tow my Jeep...

I've made plenty of campground reservations in the past, but this time it felt different! That's because (hopefully) we'll be full-time RVers and not just vacationers! We will be in the Seattle area for a family reunion beginning of July. Then on to Indiana for the fall rally in September. Aft...

Energy Pod?

Reading and responding to the threads about Propane and Toads got me to thinking. I was looking at a wide assortment of RV's in different configurations, and their primary restrictions when it comes to boondocking all seem to be universal: Water / Power / Food. So, as I was looking at a 24 ft. Leisure Tr...

One pearl of wisdom I have come across in my research is “buy your third rig first”. When we hit the road in a few years, we see ourselves going FT for at least 10 years so our interest is in an enduring floor plan, durable and well thought out design of mechanicals. Having been in your rig for at least five ye...

Hubby took our extra propane tanks to fill yesterday since the forecast is for another round of single digit temps with sub-zero wind chills. Bought our first RV a 2011 Winnebago Vista 35F

Yesterday we closed on a 2011 Winnebago Vista 35F and drove it 90 miles home. Everything went well at the dealers. It started out to be a miserable day, very cold, cloudy, windy and forecast for snow for the 90 mile trek south and back. We weren't looking forward to the walk through, because it's normal...
