As many of you know we own some RV sites at Retama Village in Mission TX. We have one site free right now, and 2 free next week. Since I know some are at the "rally" in TX I thought I would offer the lots for rental on a weekly basis (or near weekly). Normally we only rent for a minimum of a month. If yo...

Fulltiming is still in the planning stage for me, but I have a question about boondocking in urban areas. One of the things I want to do is to experience some of the great cities around the country that I haven't been to before. I know there aren't a lot of good, inexpensive campgrounds around most cities...

Any experience with getting a spot with sewer hook-up in this park please? I may be able to accelerate my plans to full-timing it as I have been offered a 12 month contract at FLETC (I am a telecom software specialist semi-retired working as a contractor) But I am concerned that it may be late in the year t...

Was reading some campground reviews and had to let ya'll know about The Ponderosa in S. Central CO. It is on Hwy 17 about 15 miles west of Antonito. Beautiful campgrounds, backs up to national forest, on the Conejos river (with lots of trout). They are closed now. I think they reopen in May. You do n...

I plan to leave Sat morning Dec.14, traveling west on I-40. I am thinking of stopping at Timberline CG in Lebanon TN the first night. That would be a total of about 300+ miles the 1st day. The CG is just about a mile from the interstate, so it shouldn't be a problem getting in and out. I am looking for some...

No I don't want any frost on the ground, I'm leaving cold weather. Is central Florida a good place to be? I'm probably looking at $600.00 per month more or less. I would like to be around attractions that are fairly close. We are going to be in Florida in the first part of November. Do you recommend we...

We have a lot in Snug Harbor, NC (google "Snug Harbor Property Owners Association" for info on the area). I am wondering if it would be worth it to have the lot cleared, septic/well/electric installed, and a pad poured for an RV. The main goal would be to rent it out to RV'ers like everyone on t...

In Montana, Wyoming and Idaho are there BLM boondocking areas like in Arizona ? I remember in the 60's we used to just find nice stream or river and set up camp in remote areas and it seemed to be ok with the local ranger or sheriff. Just wondered if it's possible to boondock on public lands in those states...

We will be spending our first winter as fulltimers. Currently we are in North Carolina, but we're thinking of spending the winter in FL, AZ, or TX.
