As for your RV search you might want to narrow down your choices a bit more. You will receive great information from very knowledgeable people on this forum.

For questions other than RV related ones I'd like to suggest you check out www.amerika-forum.de. You will find a few people there who did the same thing, just not with a Class A but with a fifth wheel.

If you want a diesel you really need to look at rigs 34 feet or longer. Stick with Winnebago (Itasca, made by Winnebago) or Tiffin (Allegro) - I'd also suggest looking at any Newmars you can. And if you go with a gas model, then also stick with Winnebago, Tiffin, or Newmar.

I'd agree with the Foretravel and Newell but those are going to be much more expensive that the entry level of the others. Not sure what the budget is for the purchase nor how long you plan on RVing in North America.

"Price between 60.000 an 90.000 $" so they will most likely be looking at used coaches. They are planning on a couple of years, beginning in May, 2018. I'm hoping that we can meet up with them.

That would be how old for Foretravel or Newell? Looks like they are trying to stay less than 10 years old.

There is a 1999 U320 36' in Florida with an asking price of $78,000. Didn't see any other Foretravels that looked interesting at the moment. The only Newell that was under their price cap was WAY under (at $20,000) and is several years older than our coach. Probably not the best choice for someone's first RV experience.

I sent them a PM suggesting that they join both the Foretravel group and the Newell group and ask some questions. I know that there are coaches that are available that are not listed in many places (probably because the sellers don't want to be pestered with scams).

The used Tiffins are a good value. Search Facebook for Woodard RV. They deal in used Tiffin motor homes. They upgrade them and guarantee everything is in working order.
You can get two bikes in the back of a 4 door Jeep Wrangler (2007-2018 models). The 2007-2011 Wranglers have a weak 3.8L V6 engine. In 2011, they went to a modern 3.6L V6 with much more power and efficiency.

I think the 2011 3.6 Engine is very good, in Germany i have a Wrangler Diesel, this is in the USA not available. When i put the two bikes in the back of the Wrangler, i have a Problem with the Dogs. Is it possible to put two electrical bicycle at the Trailer hitch/bike rack of the Jeep ? I think each of them weight 45-50 Pounds. Maybe i need a special bike rack.

The US Wrangler is suppose to get the diesel in July 2018. The petrol 3.6L started in 2012 in the US.
Yes, I think you will have no problem finding a rack for the electric bikes that will work with the Wrangler. You may need an extra long extension because of the rear mounted spare tire.

I've traveled in 18 countries. Germany is one of my favorites. I can even say that I danced on the tables at Oktoberfest. smile

I have a 12 year old 38 foot Newmar diesel that I bought for much less than your price range. Very low mileage and looks almost new. It is not common to find such bargains, but not impossible either.

The higher the cost of a rig will bring with it a higher cost of insurance. Tires and batteries are expensive replacements. Make sure whatever RV you buy has a lot of life left in those. Insure that whatever you buy has all of the owner and maintenance manuals. You will use them - more than once.

Those who do full timing or extended travel will agree that lots of inside and outside storage is a must.

Fuel cost in the US is less than Europe, but we have federal emission restrictions that give us lower fuel milage.

The choice of towed vehicle is a personal choice. I tow a pickup truck because of the utility value. I like having the option of throwing dirt things in the bed instead of putting them in my rig. And, it's extra storage for things like lawn chairs. bikes, etc.
