Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Going Fulltime next Spring! New to the forum and introducing ourselves

Hello RV Dreams Community!  We are John and Laura Zargo from Trussville, AL, and have been camping all of our adult lives.  We started in a small pup tent that the two of us and our dog slept in, graduated to larger tents as we had our two kids and finally bought our first travel trailer in 2014.  It was a 26' hybrid with tent ends and two opposing slides with a kitchen island.  We thought we'd died and gone to heaven moving up from tents.  We kept that trailer for three years and had lots of fun taking it on a long three month journey out west last fall.  After spending that much time in that unit, we soon discovered what we did not like about it.  The beds had to be made up every time we stopped at a new campground and if the weather was cold or rainy, our tent ends would sometimes drip on us during the night.  Plus, we found that camping in crowded RV parks, we could hear everybody around us when we went to bed as we were sleeping in a tent!  We both love traveling and decided we wanted to upgrade our rig and go to a 5th wheel for more space.  That idea soon turned into "let's go fulltime"!  So we planned our truck/RV shopping with that in mind and picked out what we think will be the best 5th wheel and truck for full-timing.  We are now in the process of selling everything we own, including the sticks and bricks and hope to be on the road full time next spring or early summer.  So excited to be here and know that we'll get lots of good info from those of you already living the life!
