Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Old owners manual

Just purchased a 2002 used Cameo by Carriage 5th wheel.  (private sale)  It's in good condition, just needs minor cosmetic work.

I am familiar RVing but I been trying to find the owners manual for this RV.  I have searched for hours online  and

cannot find any links that I would consider trustworthy. Any suggestions on finding the owners manual in PDF format.

Thanks

Lou

Welcome Lou ... unlike your experience with cars and trucks ... a 5th wheel won't have a "traditional" owners manual that describes how everything works. My owners manual contains very generic info on 5th wheels ... not a lot of specifics. Rather, there are a pile of manuals from each major component (microwave, oven, refrigerator, TV, leveling system, washer, dryer, etc.) that you must refer to in order to figure out how to operate your equipment. Best bet (IMO) is to look for the model number of the thing you are curious about and use google to find operating manuals. If you are looking for how to take care of your waste tanks, there are MANY posts in this forum, YouTube videos and other sources of information. Welcome to the wonderful world of RVing.

Lou, We've had varried experience with the owner's manuals from one brand of trailer to the next.  Our Hitch Hiker's manual contained information that was very helpful and specific to the trailer.   Our current trailer, not so much.   I don't know anything about Carriage products but I'd see if there's an owners forum out there and post your question.  You might be more likely to find someone with the same vintage as yours who might be able to help you out.  It looks like there's a forum on IRV2 and also RV Village.

Good luck!
