Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello everyone from Mike N Donna

Hi all. I'm Mike and my better half is Donna. We currently live in Las Vegas, from Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale before that and grew up in NYC. I used to do a lot of camping back in the 80's when I had an old Georgie Boy Motor home so I'm a little bit familiar with what it's all about, but there is a lot more to learn especially now that Donna & I will be going Full Time by the end of the year.

Thanks to Howard for a lot of great information. The more the better.  I just retired in Feb, disabled Vietnam Vet thanks to Agent Orange and PTSD. Don't worry, my meds keep you safe..LOL   Donna will be retiring at the end of the year and then it's off on the greatest adventure.

We have done a lot of research, really a lot, and we're going to get a 45' Mobile Suites Memphis yanked by a RAM 3500 Dually with the Come apart Diesel and 410 rears under an 8' bed.

We have looked at a lot of Motor homes and Fifth wheels, done quite a bit of research, and talk to some factory reps too. We love the DRV product lineup and wanted a floor plan that allowed us access to the restroom with all of the 4 slides closed. The Memphis does that and more.  One of the MOST important things I've found is that with the DRV line, all tires are 17" and "H" rated. I've seen lots of units made today that come with the cheap Chinese tires that only carry an "E" rating. Good luck getting more than 2 trips out of them. If I were selecting a coach with those tires, I'd certainly make the dealer change to at least a "G" rated tire before purchasing.

Just my humble opinion folks, but I did spend most of my adult life, 30+ years driving only High, wide, and ugly loads cross country as an owner operator so I do know a little bit about tires.

Anyway, that's our overlength intro. Looking forward to being an active part of the group and to any other RVN vets out there, "Welcome Home".
