Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RV Humor

This is one of our newest, and funniest, RV Oops.  It's about our first RV camping trip and setting up at night.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful funny story. No doubt we have all had our oops moment(s). As long as nobody gets hurt it's all good. When I tell people we like to start late and finish early it's because I learned that dark and unfamiliar RV parks are dangerous places.

Just because you are an experienced RVer doesn't mean you can't goof with a slide...I haven't yet but it's coming I'm sure. .

While not a slide, I discovered that a Winegard Trav'ler DirecTV dish can withstand 65 mph winds (created by forward velocity of our truck) ... yep, forgot to stow it, but only for 20 miles or so. Oops!😬

We do know we were blessed not to do any damage to the RV, ourselves, or the pickup.  Thanks for appreciating our story.

Through the trial and tribulation of setting up in the dark (and it being your first time setting up to boot) to have things work out to a happy conclusion - that is the very definition of 'adventure'. Serendipity reigns, Ladies! Thanks for sharing!
