I have ms and need a lift

We just bought a Class A rv and are gonning to be fulltimers for a while we transition from AZ to TN.  I have multiple sclerosis and in need of a mobility lift to get me in and out.  Any suggestioms on where I can get one at a decent price lift new or used,

I began looking for one when my 85 year old dad began to have trouble with his legs. It was tough for him to go up the steps into the RV. He lived with us and we always took him camping with us in the RV. The least expensive lift I could find was from Burr Manufacturing.

www.burractuators.com/lifts/handy_lift.htm

The Burr Handi-Lift. I ordered it from the factory and installed it on the side of our 5th wheel next to the door. I did have to reinforce the wall to provide a secure mount for the lift. I've done home construction in the past, I considered this a fairly easy project with the right skill set and tools.

This is a platform lift, if I had to do it over I would have chosen the seat type lift. Eventually my Dad ended up in a wheelchair. The platform lift is not designed for wheelchairs we were able to use it with one of the smaller Transport Chairs. The transport chair just barely fit. The lift is nearly 10 years old and we've never had a problem with it.

Another RV'er whose wife has MS and had installed a Burr Handi-lift said he stopped using the lift and purchased a Hoyer Patient Lift instead. The reason- More flexibility. He can use it to get her in and out of the RV, cars, bed, wheelchair and bathtub...plus he can use it anywhere there is room...home, RV, Hotel...etc. After hearing that I bought a Hoyer Patient lift off of Craigslist for $300 it was like new. I used it to get my dad in/out of his wheelchair and in/out of our truck. It worked great.
