Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RE: www.qualityrvcovers.com

Oh, dang!!!

It doesn't look like their covers will fit a 43-footer.  But then, since you are full-timing in yours, the cover wouldn't let any light in anyway.  Although, it might offer another layer of insulation.

Good luck with the new venture.  I presume you will still be doing the Medicare supplement gig as well.

Terry,

No problem! I can just order the Class A 44' and cut a hole in it for my pinbox :)

Thanks, and yes, I will still be doing the Medicare Supplement Insurance gig. But, you're waaaaaaaaaay far from that age group, right?

Well, somebody lied to you.  I turned 65 this last May.  Now, since we still have medical insurance because we are still working, Medicare won't allow me to opt out because of that.  Until January, I don't get to get a Social Security payment but for six months of the year.

However, they still want me to pay for Medicare for all those months since I turned 65, so even though I should have gotten a check for last month, I won't get anything until about the first of the year.  They (meaning the WELL-INTENTIONED government) darn sure want their money RIGHT NOW!!!

So, they are taking my first couple of checks (that I was entitled to) to pay for that Medicare.

I've already contacted our U.S. Representative and our two Senators with a complaint that I ought to be able to just sign a waiver and opt out of Medicare.  (Crappy government.)  Not likely that they can do much.  The bureaucracy is too entrenched in their own rules, which by the way, very few can understand.
