Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I Miss The Warm Weather

Since buying our town home I sure miss traveling and the warm weather. It's cold here at Cochiti Lake but I still prefer having a home again. We will be on the road again in the spring for several long trips. I'd like to continue our trip up the Pacific coast. We left California because of all the wild fires and woud like to get to the redwoods and up into Oreg. and Wash.
Also think we may spend some time next winter in Tucson. Just too darn cold here.
It's great to have a home again and no regrets giving up fulltiming.
Bob

If you end up taking that route, we will likely meet up again. We will be traveling that route as the weather breaks. Go figure, we met you on the East Coast because of RVDreams, now we might meet up on the West Coast. Sure hope so!

We will be workamping in Oregon this summer...if your travels take you near Elkton please come spend a few days with us along the Umpqua river. Elkton is ideally situated midway between I-5 at Roseburg/Sutherlin, and Reedsport and highway 101 on the coast. Here's a link:

I'm happy for you that you found a home you feel comfortable with yet want to be able to travel at times also. Fulltiming is not for everyone. The majority of rvers are vacationers or part-timers and enjoy their lifestyle as much as we enjoy ours. We plan to be volunteering in Oregon this summer and Sierra Vista Az. next Jan -March Would love to see you as you travel through. It is nice to be able to avoid the cold weather.
